About BCD  

Our Story

Busoga Consortium for Development (BCD) was established in 2017 with the primary objective of unifying the Basoga community, both within and outside Uganda. BCD operates within a framework aligned with government aspirations while focusing on localized solutions tailored to the unique context of Busoga. Recognizing the potential within the region, BCD launched the Busoga Development Agenda in 2020, aiming to leverage local resources to address challenges and foster unity.

Key Objectives Of BCD

  1. Unity Building: BCD endeavors to foster unity among the Basoga people, bridging divides and promoting cohesion across various sectors of society.
  2. Poverty Reduction: BCD is committed to reducing poverty within the Busoga region, utilizing targeted interventions and collaborative efforts to uplift communities.
  3. Resource Utilization: BCD seeks to harness the abundant natural and human resources within Busoga, exploring opportunities for sustainable development and economic growth.
  4. Partnerships and Collaboration: BCD actively engages with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders to forge partnerships and collaborative initiatives aimed at driving positive change in Busoga.
